There is a very small place in the North of Luxembourg called Burfelt. It is situated directly on the Upper Sure reservoir, which is the biggest water reservoir in Luxembourg (so, still not huge, but…).
The artificial lake is a beautiful spot for open water swimming, sunbathing, hiking and discovering nature. It is a very popular destination for cyclists too, as you can savour the beautiful landscapes and views by riding up and down along the lake and collecting some height meters. Get up very early in spring and you might be lucky and get to enjoy a breathtaking misty sunrise over the lake.
